1. Nelly has a new song for the first time since 2005, and I’m not sure how I feel about it. I am sure that I know every word to Country Grammar.
2. Did you know handwriting can clue people in to your personality?
I was scrolling through the list thinking they couldn’t pinpoint my personality through handwriting. Wrong. Cinderella, I am. Although I don’t agree with the description. You vote – BS or not?
3. I saw the trailer for You Again today, and I think I will probably laugh my way through the movie. I need a good laugh, mostly because it’s my favorite core exercise.
4. I just asked Nick his favorite song right now and it’s titled perfect girl. I think he was just trying to be smooth.
5. Would you please tell me why I should pay a yearly fee to IRA advisor when I have not even made back my full starter investment from the stock hurricane of 2008? This is not fair. Life is not fair. I should not be worrying about retirement cash at 23. Just let me retire in a World Market store and I’ll be happy as can be.
Oh, and the advisor has not advised me in the past year. Just sayin’.
6. I had froyo tonight after dinner. Half business/half party…. aka toppings including strawberries and blueberries for their antioxidant value, but I did have my fair share of crushed Reese’s Cups and sprinkle-covered chocolate chips. Froyo flavors included: birthday cake, peanut butter and plain tart. It’s all about balance.
I thought I had a picture, but my Facebook photo library (or lack thereof) ate it.
7. I am having an internal debate between organizing my life online or offline. The act of writing something down seems to add more substance than typing it into an online calendar. I think I just want a new planner so I can possibly let go of my oldest planner currently in possession (I’ve kept the last two from college.)
8. September is going to be full of strength-training and watching my sugar intake. I know you’re as glad as I am that my goals start with an “s” like September does. Clever, I know. More on those thoughts in September.
9. If you are still with me, major props. I would give you gold star if I could.
10. Milo says hi! She’s hanging out on my lap right now so I’m typing in a pretty awkward position. Typical cat owner story.
I know she doesn’t look thrilled to be featured on the blog, but really she’s just shy.

Hahahah. I have heard of cat owners having to be in less than favorable positions due to their animals.
But I would not know, I only have a pet fish.
I really like your goals for September that start with S. I kinda want to copy that idea 😉

Haha I had to go to a 401K seminar at work last week and the adviser was going over all the options, depending on what year you’re going to retire. He just stopped at 2050, but I’ll still be working away then. Depressing!

What if retirement isn’t an option when we’re 65? The horror.
World Market here I come!

GET A PLANNER.
i TRY to use online calendars, and occasionally, i do still set appointments up in Google Calendar, if nothing more than to send myself an email 30 minutes before something is due/i need to be somewhere – but two weeks ago, i bought a “student” planner. (ok. I’m a student of LIFE, alright?) Can i just confess to you right here that the planner CHANGED MY LIFE – well, my planner and some Gmail Labs superstars, multiple mailboxes, send&archive, and reply all automatically – CHANGED MY LIFE –
The day I bought my planner is also the day I added the extra fun stuff to my gmail (do you use it? if not -go check out NERD KERF on katheats – she has great video instructions on how to get started with the “extras” of google programs.) and my live has never been better in the organization/planning department.
i feel incredibly more organized, which is perfect because i just went from working 38 hours a week, to 77+ hours a week, plus HLB, plus THS, plus, you know – LIFE.
Also – the bonus round – i got my planner for $5 at CVS. It’s the BEST set up I’ve ever seen – lots of space for each day, pages broken up into weeks and months. Each month is bordered with a different color, so it’s easy to flip through. Plus there are several of different “resources” in the back – measurement conversions, periodic table, etc. (yet, no presidential fun facts. the horror!)
also, your cat = cute.
also, let us have a Country Grammar singalong.
also, i really DO appreciate your alliterated September goals. Super Sweet 😉

Heather to the rescue! I made a beeline to CVS today, and I’m pretty sure you may have found the greatest planner ever. This says a lot because I’m weird about planners….it’s super enticing and user-friendly. I kinda want to shout it to the rooftops, but at the same time I want to buy them all up and hoard them because they really are that great.
I have set in on an online NERD KERF Gmail Labs course, but I really need to put it to use. Plus, I end up starring everything. I think I might have important e-mail overkill syndrome.
I read your post the other day about getting more done when there is more to do. I totally agree with this. Good Luck with the next few weeks! I know you’ll do great!
Thanks for your help! – Kendall

hehe, thanks for the gold star 😉
I am torn between different ways to organize my life/schedule too… I am experimenting with Google Calendar right now.

Sweet! I got a gold star AND props. That’s the perfect way to end my day. I got Fro Yo last night too… I just can’t believe it’s fat free… Fabio should make a “I can’t believe it’s fat free” commercial for them. Just sayin’.

Hahaha – I love it. I’ve got to know – Cup of Yo or Spoonfull? We tried Cup of Yo the other night, but it just didn’t compare to Spoonfull — but then again, Tech kids have taken over Spoonfull by the masses. It’s all too much to handle.
